At 10am we will roll out the drums and rock out the rhythms and make some more music together during the downtown Farmers' Market, right here in the 'Boro. You're invited to come listen, clap along, or jump in and Drum Some!

Thanks for making Make Music Day a big success!

"I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment... the delight is incomplete till it is expressed."   - C. S. Lewis

Murfreesboro's Make Music Day celebration at Old Fort Park on Tuesday evening, June 21, 2016 was a beautiful moment of creativity and community. A perfect mix of folks of all ages and all walks of life from our city gathered together as the sun set on the longest day day of the year and spontaneously created some truly amazing music. Some of it was high energy, revved up and rockin', some of it was more mellow, soothing and serene. All of it was right there in the moment, communicative, inspired, and full of joy.

Special thanks to Bracken Mayo at the Murfreesboro Pulse for suggesting and then promoting the occasion. Read the Pulse, people! It is a great asset to our wonderful city. Thanks also to the Drum Disciples for all their hard work and rhythmic support. And big thanks to EVERYONE who showed up and contributed their beats, their rhythms, their drums, and their enthusiastic participation. We got together Tuesday night and had a great time!!

Come hang with Everybody Drum Some at 10am Saturdays on W. Main between Concert Musical Supply and the Alley during the Farmers' Market. And please make plans to attend the Friday Night Live concert with CJ Vaughn on August 5, where we will have the rhythms rolling once again.

See you there... Come Drum Some!

Make Music Day in Murfreesboro

This Tuesday, June 21 is Make Music Day, a celebration that happens every year on this date in something like 700 cities all over the world. And this year, Murfreesboro, TN will be one of them! Everybody Drum Some and the Murfreesboro Pulse are teaming up to present our city's own Make Music Day event at Old Fort Park from 7-8:30pm.

Instruments will be provided, just come out, hang out, and participate (you may want to bring a chair!). Families and folks of all kinds and all ages are welcome to come and enjoy some spontaneous, in-the-moment music making with Everybody Drum Some.

We live in a world that is built on rhythm and when we create songs and sounds in rhythm together with our hands, our voices, and our hearts we are simply doing what comes natural to us as human beings. Every person has rhythm inside them and being a part of our Make Music Day celebration is great time to access and express that rhythmical, musical, playful part of ourselves.

Come hang out on June 21 and join in the fun!

Drums and Fun at the Farmers' Market

The rhythms return to W. Main during the Downtown Murfreesboro Farmers' Market on Saturdays in 2016. Everybody Drum Some will set up in our favorite spot on the sidewalk between Concert Musical Supply and The Alley on Saturday June 11 at 10am and host some joyful community music making. Come join us!!

Last summer we saw a great turnout, good good music, and tons of fun during our Saturday morning jams. Once again this year we'll spread out some chairs and pass out our variety of hand drums and shakers and all get together on some rhythms, songs, and grooves near the Square. Everyone is welcome to come join in or just hang out and watch and listen. Drums and percussion instruments are provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own.

Playing rhythms together is good for the mind, good for the body, and good for the community... Come on and Drum Some!

See you Saturday!!
