Saturday Drums

Big drum fun on the square in Murfreesboro, TN on back-to-back Saturdays recently. Our city hosts two terrific events - Earth Day and Jazzfest - and Everybody Drum Some rolled out the drums on both days and had the crowd ROCKIN' together.

The Creative Rhythm Percussion Team from RTA and the Drum Disciples were on hand to get the rhythms rolling at the Middle Tennessee Electric Company's 14th annual Earth Day celebration. The Everybody Drum Some drum circle then wrapped up the event in grand fashion, and a good time was had by all. Special thanks to Amy Byers and Matt Hartquist for their efforts in making the day such a success!

A week later Ken Murray and the guys from Concert Musical Supply helped Ross Lester and the Creative Rhythm Percussion Team put on another big drum circle at the Jazzfest. In between sets from the local middle school bands on the "B" stage, Everybody Drum Some drew the crowd into some spectacular rhythm jams. Our city's annual Jazzfest is a great place for the people of Murfreesboro to come together and play some music, and the community groove was a great moment to see and hear on that Saturday afternoon.
